Dear Creator, Thanks for dropping by. I’m asuralucier on Ao3.Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

DNWs: -Non-con, anything sexual involving animals, the toilet, tentacles, non-human biology, underage (sexual activities between characters under 16; references/implications fine).
-Second person POV - this is defined as having the narrating character take up the perspective of “You.” If they are talking aloud and happen to mention “you” to an imaginary audience or something that’s fine.
-Non-canonical kid characters. A note on canonical kids - happy for them to turn up, but would rather them not take over the plot.
-Character bashing by narrative. Piss-taking fine and encouraged!
-Modern/Mundane AUs or AUs involving space, zombies, werecreatures, or a/b/o dynamics. If you want to have the characters still meet cute in a cafe in-universe or everything is the same except one character is a vampire, then please do! As long as I can recognise the world as canon, I will be happy.
-Art specific DNW: chibis in sexual situations or poses.

Likes: Crack treated seriously, humor, irony, banter, and wit, backstories (including worldbuilding and character introspection) darkfic, road trips and adventures, food & cooking (characters eating together, comfort food, preparing food as a sign of affection, etc.), 5+1 stories, fainting, hurt/comfort, time loops and Groundhog Day, non-linear narratives, unconventional narrative formats.

Art Likes: bold bright colours, grayscale + one colour, interesting perspectives/angles/lighting/shadows, lush detail, recurring motifs...

Audacity of Huge - Simian Mobile Disco (Song)

Mediums: Fic, art
Watch on YouTube / Lyrics

This video is so lush and the song is so absurd and catchy. The narrator is clearly a guy who is going crazy places with all the stuff he has, AND YET, the refrain is him epically pining after someone. Who? Why does this person stick with him so much? What significance do some of the items that he has procured have to the object of his affections? Especially interested in “I’ve always got sorbet.” Because you know, food. Unrequited pining is fine, in the spirit of this song.

Aside from the pining, also interesting is how he goes about collecting these things, that Damien Hirst telephone must have cost a fortune, as does that autographed James Joyce? What kind of wacky adventures does the guy get up to in the pursuit of more stuff?

Finally, tell me more about the grape soda filled swimming pool (would love to read TOS for that actually). I mean, WHY. Is this kind of thing normal in his world? Maybe things are just casually food related all the time? (Honey, caviar and obviously sorbet get mentioned.) Feel free to get wild here.
For art, the aesthetic of the video is so interesting and bombastic, so anything celebrating bold colors and absurdity and off the wall visuals - how cute would the Roomba be communing with the oyster fork? Feel free to get as creative as you’d like!

It's Nothing To Me - Sanford Clark (Song)
Mediums: Fic, podfic
Watch on YouTube / Lyrics

The Narrator’s passive-aggressive “buddy” is a gift that keeps on giving. Anything about the narrator’s background and how he’s come to work at this slightly shady Istern country bar/saloon would be lovely. Feel free to make use of the song’s title, “It’s nothing to me” - just where did he pick up this nihilist attitude? Sing Sing Prison maybe?

Several colorful characters are introduced throughout the course of this song. Would love to know more about any of them. Did any of them know the Narrator from before?

The second verse begins with a very dated “She belongs to him, buddy.” So...who is this woman? Is she the only woman in this bar? What does she want and who is she? Maybe she’s a grifter in her own right and no one’s figured it out yet? I just want her to be her own person, okay! (and perhaps on the receiving end of her own very passive-aggressive “buddy” only for her to not be so amused.)

Sanctify – Years & Years (Music Video)
Mediums: Fic, art, podfic
Watch on YouTube / Lyrics

This music video is fascinating and has a great story, though other videos that follow paint a more detailed picture of what’s going on if you’d like to explore those too: (1) Sanctify (linked above), (2) If You’re Over Me, (3) Palo Santo (Short Film). Finding your own theories within Sanctify alone is of course totally fine!

What is the city of Palo Santo exactly? How about that hint of backstory at the beginning with “Is – this – your – language?” and the ‘wild ruins’. Where does Olly come from? Was he captured or did he come willingly? What happened on Earth or whatever planet they’re on to have humans become a “rare commodity”?

The snippets of life as an android entertainer in the first forty-five seconds are so interesting – what do the androids want to watch? Why have they chosen these humans?

The subtle eroticism of the gold collar is fabulous, especially when it’s put on/taken off. Does it have some poIr over Olly? Does it block his emotions from the androids? Why do they make him Iar it?

The audition process could be fun to explore. What does the woman paint onto Olly’s hand? It’s broadcast live to the residents, then that android’s eyes turn white—are they deliberating? Can they communicate with their kind that way? There’s so much!

Worship – Years & Years (Music Video)
Mediums: Fic, podfic
Watch on YouTube / Lyrics

This video has such a spooky, supernatural vibe. I need to know more!

Who are these boys? Are they vampires? Demons? Are they luring people with their sexuality to steal their souls? Is their group dancing a ritual? What are they doing when they open their mouths like that? How come they can fly? It’s all so strange and interesting.

About what’s happening in the car park… Who is the man in the car? Does he come willingly, and does he survive? Was he expecting something else from this encounter? And what do the boys get out of doing this? What motivates them? Was Olly trying to resist something while dancing on the bonnet (he did look upset at first)?

Exploring themes of prostitution could be interesting, as there seems to be elements of it here.

Another point of fascination is the bright colourful clothes the boys are wearing! It’s such a contrast to the dank dark of the car park. And especially as things are taking place at night too - is there any special significance to what they’re wearing? Do they have a favourite charity shop that they pick stuff up from or…? Not to mention Olly has “l'aveugle” on the back of his jacket meaning ‘the blind’.
