Holiday Fluff Exchange 2018 Letter!

Dear Writer,

Thank you for taking the time out to write something for me. I've had a hard year and though I usually go in for angst I'd just love some fluff. You might see in my prompts some potential for fluffy angst (flangst? is that a term that people use?) if that is more your speed, please do go with that as long as there is something fluffy in the fic a la the spirit of the exchange.

I've got very few DNWs. Just to get them out of the way I DON'T WANT:
- Gratuitous Smut (by which I mean PWP or porn for porn's sake) - I do love a good sex scene when it is earned! Also no rape/non-con.
- AUs set in space, de-aged kids AUs or A/B/O AUs
- I'd rather not have characters have non canon kids.
- Character bashing

I LOVE: (If my specific prompts below don't do it for you, please do feel free to take my likes list as a general guideline for things I like! Always here for when someone gives me fic that I didn't know I wanted.)

+ Character Study - I love love figuring out what makes a character tick, and I’m always fascinated by what other people think about character motivation. In the spirit of the exchange, I am happy to read about any of the characters I mention trying to get through the Christmas holidays. I don't know what it is, I think I gravitate towards characters without much of a sense of humor. Or maybe I just like Scrooge types, idk.
+ Groundhog Day AUs, Road Trip AUs, Santa's Little Helpers' AU, characters running off to Lapland and surprise surprise it is cold there?
+ Meet the Focker type scenarios (or just families not getting along but they really love each other anyway and try their best.)
+ Mistletoe mishaps? Miscommunications?
Unresolved Sexual Tension - Even if you don’t necessarily resolve this, I am already happy.
+ Outsider POV/Relationship study - see Character Study above
+ Male Friendships/Female Friendships/Male-Female Friendships - I love friendship fic but I also love the friends-to-lovers trope. Also would not say no interesting family dynamics as well.
+ Structurally interesting narratives - letters? Screenplays (are the character shooting a Christmas commercials?), I'm open to first person POVs as well as second person POVs if you think that's the only way to make the fic work!
+ Irony and Banter.

Specific Fandoms and Prompts

Fandom: Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan, anime) - love the worldbuilding, so most of my prompts are centred around that and possible holidays in canon.

+ Levi-centric, would ship or not with anyone in the tagset: his birthday is on Christmas. Does he know this? Do the other characters? Is it a day he just made up because everyone else seems to have a birthday? Does Levi from his years in the underworld have traditions that people might think are weird? Note: I'm aware that canon probably doesn't have Christmas and would probably celebrate some version of Yuletide as a Germanic tradition?
+ Moblit/Hanji: Hanji organizes a potluck. She can't cook, Moblit takes over the Christmas ham and maybe the gluhwein they are drinking is lethal. Drunken confessions? Moblit worries about insubordination? I myself write a cis-female!Hanji but I am more than open to other interpretations of the character.
+Erwin/Levi: Every year Erwin dresses up as Father Christmas/St. Nicholas for the children in Shiganshina/other poorer districts as an act of charity. Levi gets roped along as his helper. I don't know. Go wild. But I'd love to see lots of banter, Levi secretly beginning to enjoy himself and maybe it ends in sex.
+ Hanji and Levi and Erwin platonic or maybe OT3? Just something that has them being old friends, maybe having a drink or playing cards. Maybe one of them has just had a near death experience (ahem, Erwin, looking at you maybe) and they muse on how life is short.
+ Petra centric - I miss her. I wish she was onscreen more. I ship her with Levi or Hanji if you're that way inclined. A possible prompt might be Petra brings Levi home while she's on leave and he is surprised to find her house has been empty for some time. Feelings and fluff ensue.

Fandom: Inception An oldie but a goodie? Man, I feel old. Again all about the worldbuilding here with feelings.

+ Arthur/Eames: Still waiting for that royalty!AU where Eames is actualfax part of the royal family and Arthur misses him when he jaunts off to become the King of England. Would love to see letters/e-mails/texts between them in this context? If all his messages are being censored, maybe Arthur loses his patience and just camps out at Buckingham Palace as an overture to Eames. Eames finds this Romantic.
+ Arthur/Eames: researching interior design together in order to case a mark who is obsessed with Christmas?
+ Ariadne/Arthur: She introduces him to family! Up to you what they're like, but I'm all about the quirk and making Arthur uncomfortable.
+ Eames & Yusuf: Five Christmases they refuse to celebrate? I see them as the most normal out of the team and would like for them to just take a nice vacation somewhere without giving a crap about the holidays. Or, maybe they don't go on holidays because Yusuf is stuck housesitting for his sister's cat. He might experiment on it, or he might not, and Eames may or may not encourage him. Please let the cat be okay!

Fandom: Howl's Moving Castle (Howl No Ugoku Shiro): The very definition of a found family! I prefer movie canon but I don't mind if you include bits from the book. Worldbuilding and headcanons is the name of the game!

+Howl and Calcifer's first Christmas - how do they spend it? I'd love for Calcifer to have a little bit of magic to convince Howl to imagine what kind of holidays he wants. You can break my heart as long as the fluff is there in his imagined Christmases.
+Markl and Howl - I'm just wanting Apprenticeship feels.
+ Sophie and Howl fluff. I don't know. Magic sharing? He helps her discover her magic? I'm all for interesting ways that magic can be used.

Fandom: Person of Interest
+Root/Shaw: The Machine shows Shaw five Christmases/a couple of moments in the future that she and Root could have had, maybe Root programmed it into the Machine before she died? I just need these two to be happy for a little while, please and thanks!
+Finch/Reese: A variation on the above?
+Also, I really like Fusco and Shaw hanging out. Wouldn't mind seeing them on an adventure at all.

Fandom: Hannibal (TV) Just finished a rewatch, am full of feels. Just a couple of cracky scenarios but if you can managed to make it in character I am going to be thrilled as anything:
+ Give me Will/Hannibal running a Youtube channel/Streaming channel called "Murder Husbands" - Maybe it's an educational criminology tool but people just tune in because they like their chemistry so much. Cue Will being perturbed maybe and Hannibal going "I can work with this" 8D.
+ Will/Hannibal - Anything post canon fluff - I know it's not in the spirit of the canon but I would like to see what a normal domestic day in their life without complications might look like.
+ Will/Hannibal - mistletoe. Because if there's a couple I want to see theorize the heck out of ritualistic courtship traditions, it's these two.
+ Will/Alana - I was rooting for this ship! And then it sank spectacularly. Maybe an academia AU of some sort and them bonding over the uselessness of office Christmas parties?
+Will/Alana - I just want them to go on a nice date with all the dogs.
