Dear Fandom Growth Author,

Thank you so much for writing for me! I’m excited that we matched on tiny tiny fandoms and I’m so excited to see what you come up with. I’m fairly easy to please with fairly few DNWs and I’m just so here for rare content. If you’d like to get to know me better as writer/reader, I am asuralucier on Ao3.

Please take the following as Do Not Wants:

- AUs (Canon Divergence Fine and Encouraged) - normally, I love AUs but I'd rather not for any of these fandoms in particular since I love these fandoms as themselves and would rather read things that are set in canonverse.
- Smut specific DNWs: rape/non-con, abo-related sexual activity, anything that should be done on the toilet, or animals, sexual activity between characters under 16.
- Fics featuring kid characters that are not in canon. I don't mind them turning up; what I do mind is their taking over the plot.
- Character Bashing by narrative (characters taking the piss out of each other is fine, with my fandoms it’s probably a given!)
- Second person POV

The rest are likes! This list is by no means inclusive, but if my prompts specifics do not grab you, the following are things that I would always love to have more of in fic:

+ I love unresolved sexual tension (UST). I want to squirm with the characters and honestly, if you include this, I’m just as happy for it not to be resolved.
+ I love characters who READ. I also like getting strange recommendations off of fanfics I read. So please, if you have characters read, I will be so so happy. On that note, I love love literary allusions, philosophising about history and the nature of time, banter, irony, and well-thought out cringe.
+ I love food porn/drinks porn. The second one sounds odd, but I once read a story that spent so much time describing cocktails and I fell in love. So yes, I’m all about characters enjoying their food and cooking and drinking.
+ Angst. I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.
+ Other general things that strike my fancy: loyalty/friendship, mindgames, locked room scenarios, lush descriptions of feeling and emotions, outsider POV, character study, characters being tied to a place, travel, sensitively handled difficult topics.

ピアノの森 | Piano no Mori | Forest of Piano (Manga) - Any in the tagset

What is this? It is an absolutely gorgeous anime series about various characters from all walks of life who compete in the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. It is currently 2 seasons, and available on Netflix (UK and I would presume the US too but I don’t know about other places, sorry!)

Ajino Sosuke & Ichinose Kai: This hits all my mentorship buttons. I love that Sosuke finds a will to live through teaching a very unusual student and that Kai grows exponentially as a person and a musician under Ajino’s watchful eye. I would love any missing scenes of Kai growing up during lessons with Ajino; the first time they go abroad together; Kai worrying about Ajino just as much as Ajino worries about him. I would not be upset if Ajino’s piano got rescued somehow and turns up. Please please do not ship or preslash them!

Ajino Sosuke/Pang Wei: Pang Wei’s backstory made me cry so much and I love the fact that Ajino’s piano saved him from a life of pain and gave him purpose. I do ship this especially after the “You don’t need to inherit my piano when you have your own.” I’d love any measure of slow burn, where Pang Wei gets involved with Ajino’s comeback; where it is Pang Wei instead of Kai who comes back to help Ajino practice and heal up after his operation.

Amamiya Shuhei/Ichinose Kai: Bulletproof Friends to Lovers scenarios ahoy! I love their relationship throughout, how insecure Shuhei is, how Kai is just SO EXCITED to have a friend, how different their pianos are and even if they are rivals they still manage to help each other grow. If you wanted to give me Shuhei/Kai wherein Kai is in his Maria guise, that would be fine too! Alternatively, maybe a Canon Divergent AU where Kai ends up being semi adopted by the Amamiyas? How would Kai turn out if he was taught by Shuhei’s Dad instead of Ajino?

Amamiya Shuhei/Karole Adamski: Anything post-canon would do me very nicely. Maybe Shuhei decides to go travelling and meets Adamski somewhere? Shuhei just needs a hug so much in this show and Adamski gives really nice mindful hugs.

Ichinose Kai & Ichinose Reiko: I love their relationship and the way Reiko insists to Ajino that she and her son are old war buddies really got me. I would love anything that celebrates Reiko’s devotion to her son, as unusual as it is, and maybe a 5+1 type fic where Kai sends his mother things and maybe 1 time he turns up home again.

Fandom: Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken | Love in Thoughts (2004) - Paul Krantz/Günther Scheller

What is this? It is a pretentious German movie inspired by the Steglitz Student Tragedy about two boys (Gunther and Paul) who make a suicide pact after a weekend party. It is depressing and atmospheric.

I would love...anything? Maybe Günther is not dead at the end of the film, merely in a coma and Paul visits him every day. Then he wakes up. Because my heart needs it. Or maybe Günther who has a thing for Paul knows that Paul is in love with his sister and tells Paul that his sister doesn’t like sexually inexperienced men. So uh. (Feel free to get dub-conny here). Or maybe the pact goes through and Paul and Günther have to deal with the afterlife, such as it is.

Ozark (TV) - Any in the Tagset

What is this? It is a show that unfairly gets compared to Breaking Bad! It stars a family who moves to Ozark to horn in on local criminal territory; it’s got a lot of things I love, including normal people becoming BAMF, creepy kids, weird criminal underworld worldbuilding and normal people stuck in hard places. It is available on Netflix UK/US.

Helen Pierce/Wendy Byrde: I love these two ladies and would love to see them interact more. Considering that Helen is the catalyst for S2 ending the way it did, give me repercussions! Give me “This is a man’s world but we make do” (bonus if you include Ruth here because). I also like them talking about normal things but their kids and motherhood. Getting too drunk and things happening is also a trope that I love.

Jonah Byrde & Buddy Dyker: I love this relationship and I want to see more of it. Jonah is such a lonely creepy kid and Buddy is so unpleasant but also kind of lonely? I live for people making do. Also in a Canon Divergent AU route, maybe Buddy helps integrate Jonah into the Kansas City mob and when the Byrdes find out they are horrified but then impressed AF.

Jonah Byrde/Wyatt Langmore: Still living for the punch! I love these two, but the show seems to have changed them up for eventual Charlotte/Wyatt which I don’t mind but. Anything from the fallout of the punch; maybe Wyatt goes off to college and writes Jonah, etc etc. I am more than fine with preslash here since Jonah is canonically 14. If you wanted to write me aged up Jonah/post canon, or if you wanted to do a switch where Jonah is Charlotte’s twin or older brother, that would do me too! Feel free to include Charlotte here, I think she’s just making do, too.

Fandom: Gone Girl (2014) - Any in the Tagset

I have read the book and seen the film; I don’t mind if bits of book canon makes it in or if you’d just like to stick to the film. Anyway, love me a dysfunctional marriage. Didn’t nom Amy/Nick because we saw a lot of that in canon proper, but I don’t mind if it turns up...in fact I think it has to? This movie is available on Netflix and Amazon Prime in the UK.

Amy Elliott Dunne/Andie Hardy: Amy wants to know what is so attractive about Andie. As it turns out, maybe quite a lot? Or maybe something darker and manipulative where Amy ends up dictating the terms of Andie’s relationship with Nick by telling her what she can and can’t do? Voyeurism ahoy. Go as dark as you’d like!

Andie Hardy/Nick Dunne: How did the affair start? Was it as cliche as the trope suggests? Or is it something more sinister? Would love something from Andie’s POV here.

Margo Dunne & Nick Dunne: Considering that they are twins, and that the source material makes quite a big deal about this, does Margo ever worry about herself, if her and Nick are ever too similar for comfort considering his problems/habits? I would love to read about any of Margo’s relationships, and if Nick impacted on any of those etc.

Fandom: VA-HA11-A (Video Game) - Gillian/Jamie

What is this? It is a Visual Novel-esque game on Steam that stars Julianne “Jill” Stingray as a bartender in a crapsack sci-fi world. Gillian is her fellow bartender and he boasts a colourful past. For one thing, he goes by “Robert” by the bar, but why? Jamie is a part-machine, part human kind of hitman and supposedly he and Gil have a history. Tell me why!

Gillian/Jamie: Basically anything. How do they know each other? Tell me about the Hong Kong riots and the times where Gil saves Jamie or vice versa. Any worldbuilding, 5+1 of them being different people and once being themselves; Gil and Jamie post-canon where Gil needs a new job and Jamie finds him one; is Gil somehow responsible for Jamie’s current state as part android? Did they accidentally make Jamie’s dick a machine which has interesting uh, implications? Also here for all the times that they let each other go and that perennial game of cat and mouse.
