Dear Author,

Thank you for taking the time to write something for me! I love the theme of this exchange and am an old soul at heart, so I'm sure I'll like pretty much anything that you write for me. If you would like to get a sense of who I am as a writer/reader, I am asuralucier on Ao3.

There are very few things that I will not read, so please take the following as Do Not Wants:
- AUs set in space or A/B/O AUs or supernatural AUs.
- Extreme kink, or PWP. That being said, I love, love a sex scene that is earned, so don’t be afraid to get a little naughty. But please no rape/non-con; dub-con is fine.
- Fics featuring kid characters that are not in canon.
- Character Bashing (characters taking the piss out of each other is fine, with my fandoms it’s probably a given!)

And...that’s it! Moving on to the fun stuff, please feel free to take this list as a general list of things I like if my fandom-specific wants don’t thrill you. I am always here for things I didn’t know I wanted.
+ Excepting the AUs above, I love AUs. I think different settings can really bring out a different side of a character we know and love. That being said, my favourite AUs include Academia AU, Road Trip AU, Classical Musicians AU, and Coffeeshop AUs, Unusual Jobs AU, and Lawyer AUs.
+ I love unresolved sexual tension (UST). I want to squirm with the characters and honestly, if you include this, I’m just as happy for it not to be resolved.
+ I love characters who READ. I also like getting strange recommendations off of fanfics I read. So please, if you have characters read, I will be so so happy. On that note, I love love literary allusions, philosophising about history and the nature of time, banter, irony, and well-thought out cringe.
+ I love food porn/drinks porn. The second one sounds odd, but I once read a story that spent so much time describing cocktails and I fell in love. So yes, I’m all about characters enjoying their food and cooking and drinking.
+ Angst. This is shamelessly copied from my Yuletide letter, but I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.
+ Other general things that strike my fancy: Mindgames, locked room scenarios, lush descriptions of feeling and emotions, outsider POV, character study, characters being tied to a place, sensitively handled difficult topics.

Fandom Specific Wants

Pinky and the Brain Brain & or / Pinky

Fandom Specific DNW: would rather you not include the seasons with Elmyra because those are just sad and depressing.

I don't mind them as their mousey selves or as humans. I don't foresee anyone really jonesing to write me Brain and Pinky porn but if the fancy strikes you I'd rather they be humans. I also don't mind shippy or platonic fic for these two, as long as they are at the centre of any fill, I am sure I will be a happy bunny. Some prompts:

+ I adore the show for its zany engagements with history and literature. To that end I would love for Brain and Pinky to visit Orwell's Animal Farm and take over in a prudent way, or they could visit Huxley's Brave New World and accidentally do drugs, or please rewrite me that scene in 1984 where Winston is afraid of rats with Pinky and Brain in attendance. ("Okay, first of all, we're genetically-engineered mice! MICE. Calling us rats is just being uncouth and impolite.")
+ Something following this. I know it's a Christmas ep but I watch this every time I need a pick-me-up and I just...need something? I don't mind if it's just a general entry in Pinky's diary and Brain just happens to find it. Bonus points if the clip doesn't end as it did, and Brain takes over the world only to deal with his feelings later.
+ Some sort of streaming AU - "Pinky" and "the Brain" are personas of two dorks who run a science kid's show by voicing mice. They are disturbed when people start to ship them. Feel free to get as meta as you'd like.
+ Pinky and the Brain go to couples' counselling. The therapist is getting more and more disturbed. (I would like them to be mice and to have this set in canon, but if you just want to write me Pinky and Brain in therapy generally as disastrous humans, please feel free.)
+ Pinky and the Brain taking over Donald Drumpf's brain. If you write me this I will actually send you chocolate or something.
+ The one where Brain pines for Pinky.

Royal Tenenbaums: Any Pairing in the Tagset

I love this movie and the way that misery is zany and odd and hipster.

+ Eli Cash & None: I love Eli (and by default Owen Wilson) and feel like he was slightly shortchanged in the film. As such, I would love some fic focused on him! Some ideas include correspondence between Eli's editor and him arguing the finer points of his new book; how students feel taking his class; an interview with Eli with Vanity Fair, the works. Feel free to include the rest of the Tenenbaums too, but I would like Eli and his craft (writing) to be at the heart of the fic.

+ Margot Tenenbaum/Eli Cash: Despite myself, I was really rooting for this pairing. Give me them being wild and introspective together. I don't know why, but I have this image of them accidentally waking up married in Venice, or jail, or...something. I also like the idea that they help each other with screenplays/novels etc etc.

+Margot Tenenbaum/Richie Tenenbaum: I...would like something set right after Richie's meltdown at the tennis match. Or any sort of kidfic (them as kids rather than them having kids) because the beginning of the film was my favourite.

+ Eli Cash/Chas Tenenbaum: Best friends shenanigans please - any variety of friends to lovers ould make me happy here. Eli being the world's worst babysitter, the Chas's boys trying to set them up etc. Chas visiting Eli in rehab.

Boston Legal: Denny & or / Alan; Alan/Tara

I love this show. I love James Spader. It was the show that made me work harder in school. I love how current and on the nose this show was and their ability to break the fourth wall and jump the shark was more than logical to my mind.

+ Denny &/ Alan -
- The balcony is undergoing construction. What do they do?
- In a slight AU, Denny runs for president against Donald Drumpf. Or Alan becomes White House counsel.
- Donny Crane finds out that Alan and Denny are married.
- Tell me about their honeymoon. Bonus if they accidentally meet the pope.
- I don't think they have wedding rings. Give me some ring shopping fluff and the jeweller helping them get more disturbed.

+ Alan/Tara - I adore Tara and I think, despite how their relationship played out on the show she was probably the only woman to really capture Alan's attention. Just give me some getting back together or disastrous FWB negotiation.

History Boys - Scripps/Dakin; Irwin/Dakin; Mrs Lintott & None.

Another formative fandom for me, and it's always a joy to revisit.

+Scripps/Dakin - Oxford shenanigans please! Fake dating; nursing a hangover; sexual experimentation; accidental phone sex; Dakin secretly likes musicals. Anything.

+Dakin/Irwin - recycling from Yuletide because I still really want it. I kind of want Dakin to become a lawyer consultant for the Beeb’s new show and Irwin still works there. Or Dakin has become an actor. Because why wouldn’t he? Other wants include failed blowjob/sex because they are both too eager, anything domestic, roadtrip!

+Mrs. Lintott & None - Anything about her backstory and her very first pizza! I put & none but please feel free to include the boys or Hector or Irwin. I'd love her 'women following behind with a bucket' rant and would like to see at least one or two of the boys take an interest in feminism. +Mrs. Lintott visits poor Mrs. Hector after Hector's death.

Law & Order: Jack/Claire; Jack/Mike; Mike/Lupo

I wish all these people were in more stuff.

+Jack/Claire: we don't get to see very much of this relationship but it's very clear that they had so much chemistry! Give me anything leading up to them getting together. Is the age difference a thing for Claire? Did she have a boyfriend? Maybe Jack's daughter finds out about them?

+Mike/Jack - I like this pairing for all of the identity porn because Linus Roache plays Mike like a very early version of Jack. How is it like for Jack to see himself as a young optimistic lawyer again? I'm interested in the get together, the first time they ever hang out outside of work, Jack teaching Mike how to ride his motorbike (and maybe something else).

+Mike/Lupo - THEY SHARED A MOTEL ROOM! Do something with that. Also I would love for Mike to open up to Lupo because given a lot of what Lupo can't say, it feels like they're kindred spirits somehow. Also Lupo gives Mike some TLC after that one episode where Mike almost dies, please.
