Age Gap Exchange Letter 2019

Dear Author,

Thank you for taking the time to write something for me! Age gaps is one of those things that's always a guilty pleasure, so I'm sure I'll love whatever you come up with. If you would like to get a sense of who I am as a writer/reader, I am asuralucier on Ao3.

There are very few things that I will not read, so please take the following as Do Not Wants:
- AUs set in space or A/B/O AUs or supernatural AUs.
- Extreme kink, or PWP. That being said, I love, love a sex scene that is earned, so don’t be afraid to get a little naughty. But please no rape/non-con; dub-con is fine.
- Fics featuring kid characters that are not in canon.
- Character Bashing (characters taking the piss out of each other is fine, with my fandoms it’s probably a given!)

And...that’s it! Moving on to the fun stuff, please feel free to take this list as a general list of things I like if my fandom-specific wants don’t thrill you. I am always here for things I didn’t know I wanted.
+ Excepting the AUs above, I love AUs. I think different settings can really bring out a different side of a character we know and love. That being said, my favourite AUs include Academia AU, Road Trip AU, Classical Musicians AU, and Coffeeshop AUs, Unusual Jobs AU, and Lawyer AUs.
+ I love unresolved sexual tension (UST). I want to squirm with the characters and honestly, if you include this, I’m just as happy for it not to be resolved.
+ I love characters who READ. I also like getting strange recommendations off of fanfics I read. So please, if you have characters read, I will be so so happy. Given the nature of this exchange, I would love any emphasis on the older character teaching the younger, or the younger character surprising the older character with unexpected knowledge.
+ I love food porn/drinks porn. The second one sounds odd, but I once read a story that spent so much time describing cocktails and I fell in love. So yes, I’m all about characters enjoying their food and cooking and drinking.
+ Angst. This is shamelessly copied from my Yuletide letter, but I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.
+ Other general things that strike my fancy: Mindgames, situational irony, lush descriptions of feeling and emotions, outsider POV, character study, characters being tied to a place, sensitively handled difficult topics.

Fandom Specific Wants:

Gone Girl: Amy/Andie; Nick/Andie

I have read both the book and the film and I love love both. For Nick/Andie, I would love something from Andie's point of view. What does she really think of Nick? Is she taking advantage of him or is it something in between?

For Amy/Andie basically anything goes. I love how obsessive Amy is, and naturally, I can see her obsession with controlling Nick lead into a manipulative relationship with Andie.

House, M.D.: Chase/House, Chase/Park, House/Thirteen - I've just suddenly been hit by nostalgia for this show.

Chase/House
- Chase gets House back for always taking the piss out of him at work (in bed). House doesn't exactly mind losing a bit of control because honestly, it's all an interesting experiment. Basically, FWB please insofar as the two of them can manage.
- Anything set post-canon where House drops clues for Chase about his being alive. Alternatively, House turns up as a patient at Princeton Plainsboro after the series and this causes problems for Chase.
- Chase is actually not a doctor and joins House's team as an actor trying to prepare for a role. House finds this more than amusing.

Chase/Park
- I just find them so cute, and I'm so glad that Chase finally said yes to a drink at some point on the show. Run with that, please! Bonus bonus points if she starts to get over her crush on him and he is just starting to fall for her. I just want them to do cute things together.
- Fake dating! Chase has an annoying one-night-stand and he enlists Park's help.
- Fixing each other's online dating profiles, please!

House/Thirteen
- Any form of character study, post episode tag, or post canon goodness would do me here. I would just like to see them interact more. Please please, if you are going to include anything about Thirteen's Huntington's, I would appreciate basic research.
- House at a lesbian bar but weirdly just has eyes for Thirteen, just...please?

BoJack Horseman - Diane Nguyen/Pickles Aplenty, Mr Peanutbutter/Todd Chavez, Hollyhock Manheim-Manheim-Guerrero-Robinson-Zilberschlag-Hsung-Fonzerelli-McQuack/Mr. Peanutbutter

Diane/Pickles
- I absolutely loved their interaction in Mr Peanutbutter's Boos and would just love to see more. Any fallout from Diane's cheating so she tries to become better friends with Pickles; Pickles idolising Diane; maybe a year or two later with them meeting up as members of the Mr Peanutbutter's Ex Wives club. Prompt specific: I would love something from Pickles' POV but Diane works too.
- AU, Pickles is Instafamous and Diane is sent to write a listicle. Things happen afterwards.

Mr Peanutbutter/Todd
- Anything along the lines of friends becoming more. How does Mr Peanutbutter handle Todd's asexuality? Does Todd try things? I'd love them to have a good cuddle.
- Any extension of Todd helping Mr Peanutbutter become more mean/cool etc.

Hollyhock/Mr. Peanutbutter
- I don't know, I think it could totally work and please just let me have Bojack finding out.

Stoker Charlie/India; Charlie/Evelyn

I love how creepy this film is and would like to see an expansion of either pairing with the backstory that Charlie had a sexual relationship with his older brother Richard before the events of the movie.

Suits: Harvey/Mike

Basically anything, I miss their relationship in the early seasons of the show and would prefer that you stick to that feel rather than the later seasons where things started to get a bit draggy and dramatic.

- Suit!kink; would not say no to impromptu sex in a dressing room or something. Breaking my no PWP rule because there always has to be one!
- AU: Harvey is stuck doing pro bono work and he is assigned to Mike's case (drugs? something else?) and finds himself impressed by the kid.
- Mike TA's for one of Harvey's classes at Harvard and dear God the kid is infuriating.
- Mike and Harvey go to a superheroes convention. Bonus points if they disrupt a panel with unpopular opinions.
- Canon AU: Mike works at the mail room at Pearson Hardman and loses Harvey's mail. It goes from there.
- An AU where Harvey also has a photographic memory and that is how he and Mike bond. It annoys everyone else.
