Thanks for dropping by! I’m asuralucier on ao3 if you’d like to learn more about my tastes. My gifts are great, my bookmarks are great, check it all out! I also tend to write what I want to read, so my works are also indicative of my likes. Rare Male Slash Exchange is always one of my favorite exchanges because all my ships are perennially rare. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. More than anything, I love love love it if someone enjoys what they’re creating.

This year, I’m requesting the following fandoms: Great Pretender (Anime), The Hunted (2003), Three Days of the Condor (1975), Aggretsuko (Anime), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (TV), Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (TV)

My DNWs are:

-Non-con, anything sexual involving animals* (Aggretsuko is the exception but please see that section), the toilet, tentacles, non-human biology, underage (sexual activities between characters under 16; references/implications fine).
-Second person POV - this is defined as having the narrating character take up the perspective of “You.” If they are talking aloud and happen to mention “you” to an imaginary audience or something that’s fine.
-Non-canonical kid characters. A note on canonical kids - I’m happy for them to turn up, but I’d rather them not take over the plot.
-Character bashing by narrative. Piss-taking fine and encouraged!
-Modern/Mundane AUs or AUs involving space, zombies, werecreatures, or a/b/o dynamics. If you want to have the characters still meet cute in a cafe in-universe or everything is the same except one character is a vampire, then please do! As long as I can recognise the world as canon I will be happy.
-Art Specific - Please no chibis in sexual situations.
-Fandom Specific DNWs will be listed in their respective sections.

+ Sexual Tension - Happy for it to be angsty, cracky, anything in between. Just make me squirm while I totally want the characters to bang.
+Literary/Philosophical Allusions, extended metaphors, color theory, wordplay/banter, absurdity - the more obscure the better! I also love characters who read and/or have weird jobs. Pack in a strange little detail somewhere and I’m sure I’ll love it.
+___!Porn: Identity porn, suit porn, food porn, drinks porn, locations porn? Is that a thing? I just like lush descriptions of things.
+Angst. I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, infidelity, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.
+Humour: but I also like fun, characters who don’t take themselves too seriously, and people who have the ability to see the absurdity in their situations.
+Smut likes: teasing, helping each other undress/ruined clothing/frottage, blow jobs, tattoo licking, sex in semi public places, voyeurism, phone sex/voice kink, fluid sexual dynamics (no strict top/bottom roles), edging, pain kink/painplay, rimming (for m/m ships only), fingering, cunnilingus, awkward sex, overstimulation, dubious consent (defined as the character being dub-conned still having some form of agency, even if s/he doesn’t have all the information to hand.), differences in sexual experience, sensory deprivation, roleplaying, breathplay/choking

Disclaimer: I binged Cases 1-3 in a day but for the life of me couldn’t get through Case 4. However, if you had a fix it you’re dying to write, please don’t let that stop you. Maybe a fix it where Laurent does come to terms with his actions and faces some consequences for them and poor Makoto learns to stand up for himself a bit more is what I need! Or maybe there’s a version of Case 4 out there where adorable Edamame takes over the Yakuza proper and Laurent doesn’t know what to do. How does this wreck his plans? I’ve more or less spoiled myself but the final case is definitely not a favorite. If you want to pretend it doesn’t exist, go ahead!

But before Case 4 I was enjoying this show a lot! It was zany, fun, and I really enjoyed how culturally aware it seemed to be. I’m sorry, but Makoto’s stint at the Japanese restaurant made me laugh, along with the fact that he keeps being mistaken for being Taiwanese. I love the team dynamic, so do feel free to include Cynthia and Abbie and even Kim Shi Won or Kudo in your fic. I’m up for all sorts of divergent AUs that include time tested tropes, I will always say yes to more fake dating and random oops you and me against the world I guess we’re on the run now.

I’m also down for a version of Case 2 specifically where Makoto smells something funny about working on planes and refuses. The next day Laurent Thierry turns up on his doorstep and announces that he’s moving in. Um.

Anything where Makoto tops Laurent to let off some frustration and weirdly they both enjoy it. I’m also a fan of first times but maybe Edamame isn’t as virgin as he looks? (I don’t have a preference generally, but I’d like to see how this dynamic would work.)

I’m also up for all sorts of alternative first meets! Feel free to get creative here. As long as it’s full of snark and Edamame being put upon and Suwabe Junichi I mean Laurent sounding hot but sometimes one upped I’m there for it.

Art Prompts: Anything with them eating food, anything with them visiting your favorite landmark, suits, Laurent trying on a kimono for the first time, Makoto in a ridiculous costume (maybe the changing of the guard?), wouldn’t say no to either of them cross dressing for a con actually, either of them holding something fluffy.

Fandom: The Hunted (2003)
Requested Pairing: L. T. Bonham/Aaron Hallam
Requested Medium: Fic

THIS HITS MY MENTORSHIP BUTTON SO GOOD. BONHAM EVEN CALLS AARON, “MY BOY”. I’d love any pre-canon interactions between them, fighting as a way to stave off increasingly hard to ignore sexual tension, growing closer together even though they’re both not really men who can be close to other people? I love small gestures, and details that become important later.

ALL THE FIX ITS: Maybe Bonham does read Aaron’s letters before things really go to shit and tries to help him. Maybe Bonham ends up with Aaron on the run and doesn’t know whether he’d like to kill him or not.

ALL THE CANON AUs: Maybe Bonham was a government assassin and managed to stay sane...somehow. Aaron learns a few tips and tricks. Perhaps Aaron deserts from the army but he also doesn’t exist so when everyone hunts him, he goes to Bonham who reluctantly helps him as a way to atone for his own sins.

Fandom: Three Days of the Condor (1975)

I saw this movie over the weekend and I wasn’t expecting to ship anything. But then the politest hitman ever graced my screen and I remembered I had such a weakness for Robert Redford and also, who can resist Joe’ssexy sexy job of just reading stuff all day for the CIA. Seriously. This movie was so much fun and full of 70s paranoia (while being fun?) that I’d love to hang out a little bit more in that world.

G. “I’m a hitman because it suits me” Joubert is so weirdly charming. I know he spends a good part of the movie trying to off poor Joe, and then tells him “it’s a pleasure” to give him a ride back to Central Station. Road trips with two people who aren’t necessarily comfortable with each other is my jam at the moment. I wish we saw at least a snippet of what happens there. Perhaps Joubert has to um, run an errand on the way back to New York and Joe (reluctantly) helps out? Perhaps Joubert keeps a surprising book in his car and this intrigues Joe? (I don’t know why but I keep thinking Flaubert’s Madame Bovary or Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe. Perhaps a third man attacks them and oh no, they’re suddenly kind of on the run? Anything goes!

You might have to mind bend me a little because I liked Joe’s reasoning for not following in Joubert’s footsteps, but there’s just something so nostalgic and lovely about the way Joubert says, “I’d like to see you in Europe.” I’m getting The Sun Also Rises vibes where Joe takes this advice and sort of ends up drifting through various bookshops in Europe. How do he and Joubert meet up again in this circumstance?

In a canon AU, instead of Cathy Hale, Joe decides to kidnap an old (seemingly harmless and hopeless) man. Turns out Joubert is neither of these things. Oops.

In another canon AU, I’d love workplace shenanigans where Joubert is assigned to Joe’s work to keep an eye on him instead of just straight up having the CIA kill everyone. How are they drawn to each other? What books do they read? Feel free to hit me with all manners of language puns. I’d also love to have Joe learn a new language under Joubert’s tutelage if you’re comfortable with that sort of thing and are familiar with a second language. Headcanon is that Joe reads a lot of different languages but doesn’t necessarily speak them so feel free to voice kink me and I shall die happy.

Idk why but I ship Retsuko’s...somewhat exes? I thought them getting ramen in Hokkaido was cute and Tadano didn’t have to give him a lift back in his private helicopter but he did! I think more than liking Retsuko, Haida probably really wants someone to spoil him and Tadano could be that person. So give me them going to karaoke, accidentally getting drunk together, ENNIO judging them something fierce, and social media blowing up with Tadano’s new relationship.

Or just for the lols, Tadano buys Haida’s firm when Haida complains about his job being too hard and basically makes him quit or maybe the most overpaid sandwich boy ever or something else ridiculous. EVERYONE ELSE IS SHOCKED.

(I’d also be up for Retsuko finding out, but I’d like to stress that I like canon’s reasoning for why she isn’t with either guy, and I’d like her not to be bashed. I’d also like matchmaking!Retsuko or Fenneko if that strikes your fancy, I think it totally fits and lol if they approach this like a dating sim.)

Okay, I would have never thought to ship this, but after their lovely wonderful friendship (“Sports Analogies” was weirdly catchy, wasn’t it? I hope it’s not just me!) in the last season, I would love to see what the next step for them would look like! I think there’s lots of potential for zany adventures (especially pertaining to food, the zoo, or the aquarium.

I’m also down with any and all roommate scenarios that you can come up with, especially when Josh’s mom kicks him out of the house. Speaking of Josh’s mom, can you imagine Nathaniel giving good parent? I can!

I love love the cast, so if you would like to do a thing where various people remark that Nathaniel and Josh um, “watch a lot of sports together” *waggles eyebrows* I would be here for it. My only fandom specific thing is that if you mention Greg, please let him still be magically Santino shaped. Skylar just doesn't really do it for me.

I also love road trips, unexpected penpals, accidentally acquiring a taco truck, and anything where Josh surprises Nathaniel. (Maybe Josh shows him that there is a lot that people can do in Los Angeles other than park for fifty dollars. LOL)

I am also full of nostalgia for all things SoCal so if you want to have them take a trip to Raging Waters, Knott’s Berry Farm, or Magic Mountain go right ahead.

If you’re inspired to write me porn, I’d welcome it but it’s not necessary at all. However, I can never get enough of funny/awkward sex with lots of laughs, and I think they’d fit the bill for this.

Fandom: Last Week Tonight With John Oliver

I can’t really write that I don’t RPF anymore, because I’ve requested this before (plus other RPF requests for other exchanges) but this is the one that restarted it all, my goodness. There’s something about this onscreen John Oliver’s thirst for Adam Driver that is so...pure? But also filthy and it gives me life.

There was this great tag in smut4smut this year that was something like “Character hits their head and wakes up in an erotic fantasy version of their own life.” I’m not usually one to go for super specific tags, but this really spoke to me. I just want John to wake up and realize to his shock, horror, and delight, that his deepest darkest dreams have come true and he’s now Adam Driver’s kept man. Maybe this even lands him a bit part in Star Wars (I don’t really Star Wars, but if you felt the need to stick a Ben Swolo meme in the fic somewhere, you have my sword.) Alternatively, Adam wakes up and finds himself being served hand and foot by John, he finds this creepy at first but then starts to find it a bit adorable. I don’t even know.

There was also a bodyswap masturbation tag that I loved from s4s. Bring on the awkward sex.

Anything and everything that comes after their FaceTime call. What happens when they finally meet up in person?

I’d just like to see a meet cute. Maybe they meet on a sketch in Saturday Night Live years ago and Adam realizes he’s made such an impression on John after watching Last Week Tonight. Maybe he wanks to it and John finds out. Again, just thinking aloud, you don’t have to use any of this.
