Thanks for stopping by! This is my first year doing Worldbuilding Exchange and I’m excited and a half. Worldbuilding is one of my favorite things to do in fic, and I can’t wait to see what you come up with. With the exceptions of my DNWs, which are not many, please feel free to take my ramblings as a guideline only. I tend to enjoy fic a whole lot more when I know someone has enjoyed writing it, so aside from all of my wants, I also really want you to enjoy what you’re writing!

+Unresolved Sexual Tension - Happy for it to be angsty, cracky, perennially unresolved, or resolved with gusto! Just make me squirm while I totally want the characters to bang.
+Literary/Philosophical Allusions, extended metaphors, color theory, wordplay/banter, absurdity - the more obscure the better! I also love characters who read and/or have weird jobs. Pack in a strange little detail somewhere and I’m sure I’ll love it
+Angst. I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.

I said to someone the other day that the JW verse is so interesting, and yet so many of their interesting ideas are shortchanged the moment John fires a gun. Please take this request as a carte blanche to tell me...anything? I think I’ve provided a good range of tags, but honestly, you could tell me anything about this universe that ISN’T about John Wick firing a gun, and I will be happy.
I’m happy for gen or shipfic, but if you write me shipfic, I’d appreciate it if you stick to the following: Marcus/John, Winston/John, Charon/Winston. Those three are my big ones - feel free to give the Sommelier or the Doctor a sex life if that’s where your heart takes you. I also don’t mind if named characters above have original character partners etc.
I know Marcus was only on screen for like a hot minute, but hey. This is what fic is for. I would love to see any of his interactions with The Old Guard, whoever they happen to be. I would also love it if the Old Guard wasn’t all composed of surly old men. Maybe poor Marcus attends a series of funerals as all of his friends die I have no idea. Or maybe Marcus takes John as an apprentice and everybody else like wtf. Feel free to lean into the generational aspect of this, and give me a sense of how this particular criminal underworld has evolved over time, thank you! (And of course, always here for an interpretation of the above where The Old Guard are quite grumpy to be called well, the old Guard.)
Or maybe someone from the Old Guard actually trains Marcus up in a different way as a sniper. To date, I think he’s the only character in universe who holds this specialty and everyone else who is currently working still relies heavily on close combat. (Super bonus if Marcus’s mentor is shaped like Susan Sarandon because I saw Light Sleeper recently and wheeee.)
Or tell me about the time where Marcus tries to go through concierge training and fails at it much to Winston’s chagrin, amusement, something? Happy to have a mentorship fic where Winston’s just like “please go into Upper Management, you’ll live longer that way.” And somehow it still doesn’t stick.
Speaking of Winston, how does he end up in New York? Maybe he was once a member of the esteemed hotel staff? I would love to see any of Winston’s interactions with Original Auxiliary Hotel Staff Characters, but especially anybody who works in the kitchen because I love food. Are the people who work menial jobs around the Continental also assassin hopefuls? Or are they just regular folks who apparently kind of can’t find a job anywhere else? Or maybe they’re ex-cons/ex-military types? My kingdom for maybe Winston’s normal civilian nephew gets a job through his uncle - and wow it’s an experience.
Conversely, what role, if any, does the Manager play in The Impossible Task? How many Impossible Tasks has he seen fail in his lifetime? What advice does he give John the night before? Has he ever meddled in the Impossible Task to ensure its failure for his own gain? (Because come on, of course he has.)
And of course, I’m always keen to know about Charon’s own journey up the ranks. What kind of role did he have prior to entering concierge training? Did Winston get him into it or was Charon’s greatest act of love/loyalty to Winston sacrificing his own goals and aspirations to become a concierge? Perhaps Charon and The Sommelier knew each other? What kind of weapons besides guns does the The Sommelier sell? My kingdom if he sold John the murder pencil and maybe it wasn’t just a pencil.
The Continental Doctor intrigues me! Feel free to get weird on me here: is he an actual doctor? Or a very talented flunkie a la Black Jack? What does he get up to? Obviously he patches people up, but he ever perform experiments? Does he have a secret thing for experimenting on people? Maybe he runs an underground organ black market to see the Continental Hotel through a recession and maybe that’s why Winston lets him do what he wants? I don’t know, I said weird.

I love this movie, and I have with it, much the same problem as John Wick. I would love anything that explains what the film takes as given, especially especially how Dreamsharing got its starts, and has changed to become more legitimised and mainstream. Shipfic or genfic all fine. I have no NOTPs in this fandom, Just please no incest.
Miles is an obvious in for me in terms of the history of dreamsharing, not only because it’s heavily implied in canon but also this clip of the persnickety Michael Caine in the fantabulous Ipcress File got me thinking. What did they do before technology got good enough to support dreamsharing? With only primitive technology to support what they were trying to do, things were bound to go wrong. What kind of not very smart but workable shortcuts and dangerous but practical workarounds did they come up with? What were Miles’s close calls like? Was he thinking about any of this when he introduced a whipsmart, daredevil Mal to dreamsharing? I would love all manners of father-daughter interactions here. Perhaps where he should have reined her in but then he’s also fascinated by the way she’s reshaping the field etc.
Philippa I feel is the opposite of Mal in many ways, but she is also living in a world indelibly shaped by her mother. She would have grown up possibly with negative associations of dreamshare - what does she do about it? Does she become a lawyer to try to reform dreamshare law? Does she try to clear her father? (I mean, Saito makes a call, okay, but.) Does she join a company trying to do good things with dreamshare tech? Tell me all about the world of Dreamshare Legislation. (Super bonus points if you do this in mockumentary/documentary format, I’m a sucker for stuff like that. Or maybe a Louis Theroux type investigates?)

Such legislation might also cover medical side-effects associated with dreamsharing and PASIV usage - does someone come out and say that machine has given them brain tumors a la Watchmen perhaps? Or perhaps one of the canon characters is finally succumbing to certain rumors of bad things happening to other people and isn’t dealing with it well. Would prefer to stay away from real life cancers etc but feel free to get creative on me. I love pseudo medical babble and I’ve read more Robin Cook than you can shake a stick at. Try me!
In the same vein, I am interested in any Original Forgers might have problems with their job. The only forger we see onscreen in canon is Eames, who knows himself, and doesn’t really have anyone to impress. But what happens when a forger doesn’t have such a strong sense of self? What kind of difficulties might they encounter, and why do they keep at it?
Finally, a catchall plea for you to tell me about Misplaced or False Memories - I was watching a Law and Order episode where a woman is accidental inseminated using the wrong man’s sperm (ie not her husband’s) - how would this impact the person? Could ‘false’ memories help people with amnesia/memory problems? Feel free to get Memento on me! For reference, also see the French Netflix Series Osmosis wherein a woman borrows the healthy brains of her test subjects (without their knowledge) to wake up her mother in a coma.
Or I would love a version of this with Arthur/Eames, where one is losing his memory and the other is trying to recreate them but obviously they can’t remember exactly so. Just make me cry.

I loved this episode. I think it is my favorite of all the episodes in series 5. My one complaint is that the episode probably should have started where in ended and Theo got shortchanged something fierce. I didn’t request Karl or Danny because obviously we got enough of them in canon, but I don’t mind if they show up at all!
Theo was my favorite! But then I felt like they gave the actress very little to do and the ending was just not satisfying to me whatsoever. If you wanted to fix this, you’re my favorite too! I would love anything from her perspective regarding her and Danny’s open marriage. The ending was so sudden! How did they arrive to this? Also how was Theo so certain that she would be able to get laid on the night? I mean, with Danny it’s obviously a sure thing in game, but what about Theo? What are her friends with benefits like? Do any of them want more? Does she get into the game trying to understand what the fun of it is about, or to try to understand Danny/Karl?
If you want to try something totes fucked up, maybe Theo meets Karl in game as Lance while Karl is still Roxette and both of them are just like uh. Bonus if Karl doesn’t know that Lance is in fact Theo and not Danny.
The above brought to you by that super unsatisfying 30 second conversation where Karl and Danny try to talk about sex in the bodies of their characters. Similarly, how does Roxette feel about GIRLs? (Guys in real life?) Please take this as a general prompt to tell me anything about the inner lives of NPCs! Also, remember that exception to the no sexual things with animals rule? I’m breaking it because I’d love a mention of the polar bear dealing with the trauma of...people using his body to do what it is that they do. Maybe he and Roxette commiserate? **For me, the fighters in Striking Vipers are NPC when they're not being controlled in fights by players.
Canon adjacent wise, I would adore anything about Striking Vipers as a video game. Tell me about in-game updates! Maybe somebody’s boobs gets nerfed (looking at you Roxette, and she’s suddenly a less popular character? Maybe she’s even relieved?) At the same time, maybe somebody’s total OP combo gets broken and they fall into a deep depression and other characters have to pick them back up? Or maybe everyone has to work together to overcome an update glitch? I love love video game mechanics, so I would really appreciate it if you’d want to get nerdy here.
Speaking of nerdy, I would love anything about Striking Vipers as an E-sport! Is there a team who everyone hates? Is there an underdog who everyone just loves? What team-members are sneaking around with who? I think that this would work very very well as a series of social media/meta posts, so do let yourself run wild if that’s what you’re into!

Maybe he and Roxette commiserate? **For me, the fighters in Striking Vipers are NPC when they're not being controlled in fights by players.
Canon adjacent wise, I would adore anything about Striking Vipers as a video game. Tell me about in-game updates! Maybe somebody’s boobs gets nerfed (looking at you Roxette, and she’s suddenly a less popular character? Maybe she’s even relieved?) At the same time, maybe somebody’s total OP combo gets broken and they fall into a deep depression and other characters have to pick them back up? Or maybe everyone has to work together to overcome an update glitch? I love love video game mechanics, so I would really appreciate it if you’d want to get nerdy here.
Speaking of nerdy, I would love anything about Striking Vipers as an E-sport! Is there a team who everyone hates? Is there an underdog who everyone just loves? What team-members are sneaking around with who? I think that this would work very very well as a series of social media/meta posts, so do let yourself run wild if that’s what you’re into!
