Dear Writer,

As ever, thank you for taking the time out to create something for me. I would like to apologise for the fact that this is my first time signing up for a freeform exchange, so this all might read as a bit awkward. For ease, I have chosen to include the relevant freeforms with the relevant fandoms because I don't think I have any tags that apply across the board, but I am always here for things I didn't know I liked/needed/wanted so if you'd like to pluck a freeform from one fandom to apply to another, I'm here for that!

I'm sure I'll like pretty much anything that you write for me but if you would like to get a sense of who I am as a writer/reader, I am asuralucier on Ao3.

There are very few things that I will not read, so please take the following as Do Not Wants:
- AUs set in space or A/B/O AUs or supernatural AUs.
- Extreme kink, or PWP. That being said, I love, love a sex scene that is earned, so don’t be afraid to get a little naughty. But please no rape/non-con, vomit or anything that should be done on the toilet; dub-con is fine.
- Fics featuring kid characters that are not in canon. By feature I mean have narrative significance tied to them or they have excessive dialogue. I don't mind if they turn up, I think sometimes it's inevitable, but I just don't want them to be the focus.
- Character Bashing (characters taking the piss out of each other is fine, with my fandoms it’s probably a given!)


And please take these as general likes! If you'd like to just take a general like and a freeform and just run with it, I'd have no objection at all!
+ Excepting the AUs above, I love AUs. I think different settings can really bring out a different side of a character we know and love. That being said, my favourite AUs include Academia AU, Road Trip AU, Classical Musicians AU, and Coffeeshop AUs, Unusual Jobs AU, and Lawyer AUs. I know that most of my fandom specific things are Canon AU focused this time around, but if any of the AUs or freeforms grab you independent on my prompt, you have my blessing!
+ I love unresolved sexual tension (UST). I want to squirm with the characters and honestly, if you include this, I’m just as happy for it not to be resolved.
+ I love characters who READ. I also like getting strange recommendations off of fanfics I read. So please, if you have characters read, I will be so so happy. On that note, I love love literary allusions, philosophising about history and the nature of time, banter, irony, and well-thought out cringe.
+ I love food porn/drinks porn. The second one sounds odd, but I once read a story that spent so much time describing cocktails and I fell in love. So yes, I’m all about characters enjoying their food and cooking and drinking.
+ Angst. This is shamelessly copied from my Yuletide letter, but I love love angst. Give me all the angst. Reasons for angst can include: moral ambiguity, guilt, failed ambitions, thoughtful portrayals of grief, depression, PTSD, lost loves and all the rest. I also don't mind character death, but please please don't let it be a cheap plot point for angst.
+ Having said I like angst, I also love fluff with some sort of stakes, fluff with teeth? As long as something is happening and it's not completely schmoopy I'll love it.
+ Worldbuilding! I love Canon Divergences, and filling out worlds with details that we don't get to see in the source material.
+ Other general things that strike my fancy: Mindgames, locked room scenarios, lush descriptions of feeling and emotions, outsider POV, character study, characters being tied to a place, sensitively handled difficult topics, crack treated seriously.

Fandoms

[Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan: Erwin Smith/Levi; Erwin Smith/Hanji Zoe; Hanji Zoe/Levi; Erwin Smith/Hanji Zoe/Levi]

Freeforms: Avoiding Arranged Marriage by Marrying Someone Else; Can Only Join Organisation by Marrying In; Characters Keep Forgetting to Annul Accidental Marriage; Class Conflict in Marriage; Adding Another Partner to Marriage, Man Married into Family Considered "A Wife", Drunk Marriage; Married Battle Couple

I would, if at all possible, like to keep all these in canon era unless you're looking to write the "Characters Keep Forgetting to Annul Accidental Marriage" or "Drunk Marriage". I love the weird world of SnK and would love to learn what their marital traditions are like! I have included every variation of my favourite three characters and really have no preference between them. A note on some freeforms:

Can Only Join Organisation by Marrying In: Just a thought, but what if when Levi joined the Survey Corps, he had to marry Erwin or Hanji or both? Why? How do they deal? I'd love to read the legislation on this if any. I would love worldbuilding around military spouse culture here. Or, in universe seems to not distinguish between what men and women can do in the military but what if it wasn't always that way? Would love to have a version of this where Hanji marries Erwin in order to join the military and the fallout from that.

Man Married into Family Considered "A Wife": I feel like this might be a little bit of a given with LeviHan, which I am always here for. I am also interested in how this might apply to Erwin/Hanji, in that maybe her family standing is better than his (canonically his father was a history teacher) did he marry up? How would class consciousness play into this?

Other thoughts: Not explicating on the other tags because I think they speak for themselves, but I would love any fic to include the three of them (even if they are not in a three person marriage), with a focus on how they compliment each other despite sometimes being emotionally constipated. Oh, and please make everyone bamf even if they might be soppy and bad at ~feelings

Bonus points if Levi has a secret talent for sewing and makes Hanji a wedding dress sourced from uh, unusual materials (if canon, traditional dress is fine if AU). She might be horrified, or delighted, but more interested in how Levi knows her measurements.

[Call Me By Your Name (2017): Samuel Perlman/Annella Perlman]

Freeforms: Marriage Early in the Relationship; Married Someone Pregnant and the Baby Isn't Theirs; Vow Renewal Ceremony; Wedding Jitters

I'm still doing my bit to populate the Samuel/Annella tag. Someone help me out! I just find their relationship so interesting and yet still very healthy. Lingering questions! Does Annella know about Samuel's "Oliver?" How does it affect their relationship? We saw mostly positive points in the book and film, but what would a low point look like, especially if they married early and impulsively?

For the freeform Married Someone Pregnant and the Baby Isn't Theirs I'm so so curious about this scenario if the baby in question was Elio. How do things change?

For Vow Renewal Ceremony, I'd love outsider POV for obvious reasons.

Prompt Specific DW/DNW: Elio and Oliver can be present! In fact, I would encourage them to be, but please don't take the focus away from Samuel and Annella, thanks!

[Boston Legal: Alan Shore/Denny Crane]

I MEAN COME ON THEY ARE CANONICALLY MARRIED. It occurs to me that I forgot to nom & for them, but please please feel free to write me an & version. I don't mind if they're shippy either but I do want the option to be there!

Freeforms: Fake Married on a Reality Show; Dealing with In-Law(s); Wedding Night; Marriage as Political Tool

Fake Married on a Reality Show: I nommed this, and then I had no idea how to use it but I still think it's a fun idea. Stretching the imagination and the meaning of this tag, I would love for Denny and Alan to be hired as consultants for a marriage reality show to give newlywed couples advice. It's for diversity purposes! And it can end up as disastrous or as heartwarming as you'd like.

Dealing with In-Laws: The first time Donny comes to dinner? Running into Beverly Bridge at the beach?

Marriage as Political Tool: Despite everything, Alan and Denny become gay icons and decide to use this political capital to run for office. They argue over who gets to be the First Gentleman. Bonus if they heckle Mike Pence and Denny hits on Melania Drumpf just for fun. (I mean, he is kind of canonically attracted to RBG, so this is not so far off the rails?)

Wedding Night: Erm, Denny taking stock at how this wedding night is different from his other ones. Awkward mutual masturbation delving into something else? Alan musing about what his dream wedding night would have been like (probably not this)? Here for anything.

Fandom specific DNW: Please keep mentions of Denny's Alzheimer's to a minimum. I don't mind if it shows up as a joke (Mad Cow!), but I don't want characters dwelling on it overly much in a serious fashion, thank you!

[Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga: Edward Elric/Roy Mustang; Riza Hawkeye/Roy Mustang]

I love this show, and again, the worldbuilding is fascinating. All these tags are chosen with an eye towards canon-era but if you can think of other ways to twist it I'm all eyes and ears. Wouldn't mind an old married couple AU at all snuggling on the couch and watching bad television.

Marriage a Requirement of Office Looking at you, Fuhrer Roy Mustang! Again, interested in reading any legislation attached to this. I was always struck by Bradley insisting that he 'chose' his wife, so hey, what do you know, it's basically canon in my head, thanks! What are the duties of Roy's spouse? I don't mind if it's Edward or Hawkeye, as long as they both roll their eyes at him once in a while.

Marriage Allows Spouses to Share Mutant or Magical Powers: I love the idea of Hawkeye gaining alchemy through marriage to Roy. How do they deal with it? How does she feel, given her history with her father? Does Roy do anything special to help her through it. Also here for Roy and Ed becoming more OP. And please let me have Ed trying to cook something using Flame Alchemy and it Doesn't Work.

Magic Artifact Creates Marriage: Uh, looking at you...philosopher's stone? No idea how this would work. But I am here for it if you can work out a misuse of the stone resulting in surprise marriage.

Fandom-Specific DW: Please let Edward be at least 18!
